Why People Trust JanRaksh
On most social platforms, anyone can create an anonymous profile. On JanRaksh, every member completes identity verification through UIDAI’s official Aadhaar OTP process. So when someone offers to help with an issue you have raised, donates blood, volunteers for a drive, or answers a safety alert, you know they are a real, accountable member of your community.

Your Aadhaar number is never stored on JanRaksh. Identity verification is completed securely using UIDAI’s official OTP process, and only the information required to confirm your verified identity is retained.

Problems get solved in the open, so trust and accountability build up over time.

What JanRaksh is, how members help one another, and how your information is protected.
JanRaksh is a social impact platform for your locality. Members raise the problems and issues around them as posts, and the people nearby respond with help, opinions and support. Every member is Aadhaar-verified, so you always know who you are dealing with.
Anything your neighbourhood needs help with: a civic complaint such as a broken streetlight or a water leak, an environmental concern, an urgent blood requirement, or a request for educational help. Add a photo or a short video, pin the location, and the people around you will see it.
They respond directly on your post. Depending on what you have raised, a neighbour can volunteer, offer to donate blood, upload evidence that supports your complaint, mentor or sponsor a student, or simply add their support so the issue carries more weight. You can also message anyone who offers to help.
Every member confirms their real identity through the government’s UIDAI Aadhaar OTP process before they can post, message or respond. The people around you are therefore real and accountable, rather than anonymous accounts.
No. Verification is completed through UIDAI’s official OTP e-KYC process. We never store your Aadhaar number — only your verified name and a masked reference.
Your verified details are held on secure, encrypted servers and are never shown publicly. They are accessed only if there is a report of misuse on the platform, and every access is recorded in an audit log.
Yes. A verified member can request a community, add volunteers, track the issues raised in their area, and run blood or donation drives. Requests are reviewed before the community goes live.
Yes. Downloading and using JanRaksh is completely free, and it works in both English and हिंदी.
The safety alert is one feature inside JanRaksh, and it stays switched off until you choose to use it. When you trigger it, verified members near you are notified along with your location so that someone close by can reach you, and a dedicated Women’s Safety mode records audio for a record of what happened. It is not an emergency service and cannot guarantee that anyone will respond — in a serious emergency, always call 112.
